Are you new to mountains and daunted by the French Alps? Do you want help getting started on your first climbing experience? This holiday is designed with exactly that in mind. We have helped introduce clients and friends to the wonders of the Alps and know what a new mountain rider needs.

  • One climb a day
  • Help with gearing and pacing
  • Descending Masterclass
  • Fully supported by an experienced team

The routes on this trip have been chosen to give our clients a good challenge but not an impossible one. This is a wonderful opportunity to make the first step into tackling the giants that you see on the Tour De France but also being introduced to the beauty that you can only get in the mountains, and only in the French Alps. By the end of the week, mountain climbing will be in your blood!

We at Polka Dot Cycling Holidays know that this is not just about taking on a new challenge and pushing yourself but also enjoying your holiday. That is why we choose the most beautiful spots with lovely chalet hotels overlooking the Alpine peaks. We make sure that every evening you get out of the saddle and sit down to a gorgeous meal with some pleasant company and a cold drink!
