TENERIFE TRAINING CAMPS
Have you ever wondered why most of the pro teams come to Tenerife for their training camps? The roads here are perfect for training, great road surfaces and consistent climbs, and the weather in winter is consistently over 20 degrees C and dry.
This is our 6th winter of training camps in Tenerife and our routine has proved extremely popular. There is a choice of routes every day to cater for a wide variety of abilities and you will always be with riders of a similar ability to you.
7th April 2018
Following the success of RAIDs such as the famous RAID Alpine, Dolomites, Pyrenean and Corsica, Polka Dot are launching a brand new challenge, the RAID Tenerife. Unlike other RAIDs, this one has been principally set-up with the idea of it being an early starter to your randonnées/sportive season.
It’s another significant challenge with 12,000m of climbing in 100 hours, but covering a shorter distance, being deliberately designed so that it’s rideable early season.
13th May 2018
Those of you who have already ridden the Raid Alpine, Raid Pyrenean or Raid Dolomites will understand the popular Raid format. This is a pre-written route (by the Parisian Audax club) which completely circumnavigates the island, taking in both coastal and mountainous terrain.
The route is over 1000km with just less than 15,000m of climbing and so is a similar challenge to the other Raids in the series.
